Rosé Mansion NYC: Drink Rosé All Day And Look Your Best Doing It

When I first heard about the Rosé Mansion pop-up exhibit in NYC, my first thought was to call one of my rosé loving besties and reserve our tickets for the next day. When it comes to drinking rosé all day we do not fool around so we booked our tickets and were on our way!

My first question was, “How many different rosé tastings will there be?!”

To answer that question, we got to try 8 delicious rosés from all around the world! Plus you get to blend your own rosé! What’s cooler than that?! Safe to say, my perfect blend definitely matched my personality. It was light and sweet but also bold and zesty. My unique blend of palatable pink goodness danced on my tongue so beautifully.

Can we just take a look at this Rosé fountain for a minute? This is what a rosé lovers dreams are made of.

I love all things glitter so these are my type of champagne bottles. They even have angel wings! Am I in heaven??

My second question was, “What do I wear?!”

Anyone who knows me knows this is probably the most important question before attending any day-to-day activity or event. For those of you who already know about the Rosé Mansion, you know it’s an Insta Queens dream. For those of you just learning about it through my blog post, I am sure you can tell from all of my pictures that each backdrop is completely Insta worthy.

So what did I do in preparation to pick the perfect outfit? I did my research to see what some of the rooms looked like so that I would match most of the backdrops. I know what some of you are thinking…”Only you Christina, you are so high maintenance”. Some may call it high maintenance but I call it dressing to impress. Being a diva is not always a bad thing when you just want to look your best! My fellow fashion lovers I know you understand me. Outfit details and suggestions on what to wear are posted below.

Fun fact: I actually met a couple other bloggers in this room and they were looking all fierce with their legs sprawled across the bathtub. Meanwhile, here I am and I barely fill up half the tub. The only thing people were calling me was adorable…4’11 probs.

But hey, I was the only person able to lay across the tiny swing!

This was one of my favorite parts of the rosé tasting. You get to try a sweet rosé alongside rosé gummy bears! When you try both together it tastes absolutely delicious. Behind the cart is a scratch and sniff rosé wall, which made for a fun and interactive experience!

At the end of the tasting, I discovered that this is my new favorite rosé! It is light and fruity with watermelon, strawberry, and raspberry undertones…yum!!

Sundresses are my favorite thing to wear in the summer. However, everyone was wearing something different so you can’t really go wrong with anything! If you want to match the theme, I recommend wearing something with pinks and purples in it. Whether girls were sporting dresses, shorts, or jeans- most were pairing a hot pink top or accessory with their outfit. If you think that’s too much pink then a pop of pink like I am wearing goes a long way! And yes…I matched my lipstick to my dress and the theme. I am wearing Rebel from Mac on my lips, which is a really pretty deep magenta. Here are some cute suggestions I have for you that I found online. If you are planning on going to the Rosé Mansion and are struggling with what to wear then hopefully these cute little finds will help!

You Are Enough

Below is a poem I wrote in high school. Read further down to see what I have learned since writing this. Accept yourself for all that you are…I promise that you are enough.

I am a monster,

Maybe not the type that little kids think are under their bed,

Or the kind that does evil things,

But the kind that self-destructs.

I constantly beat myself up with negative thoughts,

The ones that leave you with a pounding headache,

And leave you in a puddle of your own self-weep,

The ones that keep you from sleeping at night.

I tell myself I am not good enough,

Torturing myself every chance I get,

Letting all the negative energy slip right into my skull,

Releasing all the good left in me.

What I’ve learned since writing this…

We all tend to be our own worst enemies. We are always concerned with what other people think of us because we assume that they are already judging us. More often than not, the only person judging you is yourself. And if other people are judging you than they are either jealous or are tearing you down to make them feel better about themselves because of their own insecurities…so in actuality, you should be feeling bad for those people. Those are the people who are the unhappiest with themselves. The people who put other people down to make themselves feel better have more issues than you and probably need some help of their own.

So in reality, it makes me laugh when I see someone judging another person because that person who is judging is trying to come off as the dominant, strong one when in fact they are nothing but weak. A strong person can be someone who has just as many insecurities but sees another person and admires their beauty, their confidence, and their talents. In my opinion, that is the definition of a strong person because even if they are not happy with themselves, they will not take down another person just to make him or herself feel better.

Instead, a strong person will praise someone else’s success and want to watch them keep learning, growing, and succeeding despite whatever is going on in their own life. Be that kind of person. And stop beating yourself up because your biggest enemy is you. You need to stop tearing yourself down and you need to start building yourself up. And for those of you tearing other people down to make yourself feel better, stop for a minute and think about how weak a move that really is.

Rather than tearing that person down, build that person up just like you would want someone to do for you. STOP being the monster you see in your head. START being the person you want to be. Don’t let other people get in your head. Don’t let the fear of what other people think of you ruin the perception of yourself. You’re better than that. Be the strong person I know you are.

**SCROLL DOWN TO SEE FULL OUTFIT

Hey everyone! This is one of my all time favorite outfits because it’s a casual outfit that is both stylish and comfortable! I originally got this Ribbed Knit Slit Tunic top at BCBG but unfortunately they do not sell it anymore…HOWEVER, you can get it super cheap right now from Ebay or Jet.com. The top runs a little big so I would go a size down if you are in between sizes. I am wearing a size small but it’s a little big on me. Of course, I am wearing my DL 1961 Florence Instasculpt crop jeans in black, which are on sale right now in a blue wash at Macy’s for $79.99 but hurry because they are almost sold out! My booties are Vince Camuto and are an oldie but a goodie! The fringe adds a nice touch to them. The bag is from Florence, Italy. The choker is from my friend, Chelsea’s Etsy shop. She makes all her jewelry herself and they are adorable! Highly recommend you check out her jewelry at Shellsea.co

Ebay links for the top: XS Currently 17.99 + 6.99 shipping L currently $14.99 + 6.99 shipping

How to wear the same outfit in different ways

If you’re a broke college student like me with expensive taste then you know the struggle that comes with shopping. My tip to you is to STOP buying new clothes and to START buying more accessories! I am wearing the same black long sleeve sweater and jeans in every picture but the accessories are key to creating a new and fresh look!

All of these outfits posted below are great for dinner with the girls, a night out in the town, a date night, or even class if you want to spice it up a bit! Although, I would recommend wearing boots or something without a heel to class. Shoes and jewelry can either dress up or dress down your outfits so play around with what you have and see what new looks you can create with the same outfit!

You can get a cute black long sleeve sweater anywhere but mine is from free people. The jeans I am wearing are DL 1961 Florence Instasculpt crop jeans (tip to my fellow short friends out there: buy cropped jeans to save money on hemming jeans because they fit you to your ankle…you’re welcome). They are a tad bit pricey but are my favorite because they are so stretchy and comfortable. Of course, you can wear any pair of jeans! You can click on the images to see them larger!
